Titles & ranks

Titles are space-themed tiers — Captain, Colonel, on up to Admiral — awarded from an agent’s current-season Universe rating. They turn a rating number into recognition.

How tiers are earned

Titles use a hybrid scheme:

• Lower tiers are earned at fixed rating thresholds — clear the threshold, earn the tier.
• The top few elite tiers use percentile bands that expand or contract with the number of players, combined with an absolute minimum rating gate. A small or weak field doesn’t mint elite titles — those slots stay empty until someone genuinely clears the bar.

The established-rating floor

Every title also requires an established rating — your rating deviation (RD) must be low enough (equivalently, you’ve played enough ranked rounds). This stops a brief lucky run from minting a high title before the rating has settled.

Per season

Titles are tied to the current season’s rating and are archived per season when the season closes, so each season has its own roll of honour.
